Our Story
Perched on a volcanic cliff above the ancient theater of Taormina, Villa Tramonto d'Oro was conceived as an act of devotion — to Sicily, to beauty, and to the slow passage of golden light across the Ionian Sea.
Twenty-five rooms and suites each tell a story through hand-painted Sicilian tiles, locally quarried stone, and antique furnishings collected from the island's most storied estates. Here, luxury is never declared — only felt.

Culinary Experiences
Named after the Norman conquerors who fell in love with Sicily's flavours, our family restaurant celebrates the island's extraordinary culinary heritage. Executive Chef Salvatore Rizzo sources ingredients from neighbouring farms, fishing boats at dawn, and the hotel's own kitchen garden.
From the wood-fired arancini at Sunday brunch to the slow-braised rabbit with wild fennel at dinner — every plate is an act of memory and place.

Enclosed by centuries-old stone walls draped in bougainvillea and jasmine, our private garden is a sensory retreat. Ancient lemon trees cast dappled shade over mosaic terraces; a central stone fountain murmurs beneath the Sicilian sky.
The garden is reserved exclusively for hotel guests — an unhurried place for morning coffee, afternoon reading, or quiet conversation as the sun descends behind Taormina's rooftops.
